I'm Shantha, Paris photographer who helps loved up couples, sassy individuals and fun filled families document their moments in Paris into beautiful photographs. My approach is warm and easy going, giving gentle guidance in posing as much as you need or taking as many steps back as required if you are someone who needs your space.

hello!

Before the couple, individual and family photography, my experience was in runway and backstage fashion photography.

So, you can say that I have an eye for what looks good. I capture movements perfectly in a few clicks without you sweating out in your splendid outfits.

I'm quick to capture the essence of your children, in their giggles and when they are running about.

And I definitely know how to pose you in the way that suits your personality.

Most of all, I know how to make beautiful photos of you looking connected and in the moment. Anywhere in Paris. Even when you have bus loads of tourists around you.

my why on couple, individual & family photogrraphy

I have the ability to connect with people.

I am sentimental and wildly romantic.

I am also a big kid at heart.

I feel the importance of making people feel valued, happy and beautiful.

And I believe in the value of photographs.

Photographs became invaluable to me since these three meaningful occasions of my life:

When we got our wedding photos back and our heart sank. Deeply into the pit of our guts. We had not listened to friends' advice to invest in a great wedding photographer. They explained that the memories of candid and important moments of our big day are worth more than the money saved. I wasn't a photographer then. We still regret our decision in hiring a low budget photographer. Someone who did not take the time to understand who we are and what was important to us. We don't have wedding photos that we are crazy about, nor take us back to the vibes of the day. Come to think of it, we have not looked at our wedding photos for a long time. They don't excite nor make us happy. We've learnt since.

When my baby girl was born. I took so many photographs of her and of our family together. Because I know her precious smallness and baby mannerisms will be fleeting and we will miss them. I am thankful for the lesson learnt from our wedding photo experience. We now have a beautiful catalogue of our baby girl's life starting from the very first few minutes of her birth. With these photos, we feel the emotions of each milestone we've had with our precious daughter. These photographs are priceless to us.

When my beloved grandmother departed this world. I realised then that I have only 3 photographs with her out of my 30 years of life with her in them. I have only one portrait of her when she was 18 years old who just got married to my grandfather as his second wife. That's it. That's all I have to show my husband and daughter about this one person who was special and influential in my life. So now I take photos of my daughter with her grandmothers, cousins and relatives whenever we're together. I want her to be able to cherish and remember her time with the people that have been a great presence in her life.

Photographs to me is like a portal that can transport me back in time. Photographs to me are like chicken soup for the soul.
